Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario (BFION) welcomes all who are interested in protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding through the implementation of the Baby-Friendly Initiative (BFI). The BFI is based on current research and supports evidence-based practices for all perinatal families regardless of their infant feeding decisions. BFION members may in no way be associated with a company whose products fall within the scope of the International Code of the Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes.
BFION meetings are held quarterly by videoconference, and include Hot Topic presentations at most meetings.
Networking, collaboration and the sharing of resources are encouraged during membership meetings, via email, during the BFION Expo and by visiting the resource section of the “members only” area of the website.
NOTE: Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario’s name and logo are owned by BFION. The name and logo are intended solely for use on BFION approved documents and materials. If you wish to use the BFION name or logo, please contact BFION for consideration of your request.
