General Information

Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario welcomes anyone who is interested in protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding through the implementation of the Baby-Friendly Initiative. Members may in no way be associated with a company whose products fall within the scope of the International Code of the Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes. Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario meetings are held quarterly by videoconference. Networking, resource and information sharing among members are encouraged. This can be done during meetings, via email, during the BFION Expo and by visiting the resource section of the “members only” area of the website. Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario’s name and logo are owned by Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario. The name and logo are intended solely for use on Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario approved documents and materials. If you wish to use the Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario name or logo, please contact Baby-Friendly Initiative Ontario for consideration of your request. Baby Friendly Initiative Ontario

BFION is the provincial representative for the Breastfeeding Committee for Canada. BFION partners with hospitals and community health services to assist and support them to achieve and maintain Baby-Friendly designation.
